Dustin Martin was Richmond’s leading vote-winner for Round 17 in the 2018 AFL Coaches’ Association’s Player of the Year award.

Martin received six votes for his strong showing in the Tigers’ two-point loss to Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium last Saturday night.

The dynamic midfielder finished the match with 29 disposals, 13 contested possessions, six inside-50s, five clearances, a game-high 11 score involvements, one goal and a team-high 669 metres gained.

Exciting Tiger small forward Daniel Rioli picked up two votes for his top-class performance – 18 disposals, eight contested possessions, four inside-50s, eight score involvements and three goals.

Rounding out Richmond’s Round 17 vote-winners in the prestigious coaches’ award was dependable defender Dylan Grimes.

He was given one vote for another trademark quality defensive display – 15 disposals, nine intercepts, including six intercept marks and three rebound-50s.
