Richmond ruckman Ivan Soldo has been charged by the AFL's Match Review Officer for striking Hawthorn's James Worpel during Sunday afternoon's win at the MCG.

The incident which occurred during the second quarter of the 36-point win was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact and high contact.

Soldo can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Key forward Tom Lynch was also charged with striking Hawk James Sicily and can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea and be free to face Essendon at the MCG this Saturday night.
