Richmond captain and star midfielder Trent Cotchin has been selected in the Tigers’ team for Friday night’s clash with North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

It will be a welcome return to the playing field for Cotchin, who has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring during Richmond’s Round 3 match against Greater Western Sydney.

Cotchin’s inclusion is one of three changes the Tigers have made for the game, with emerging ruckman Ivan Soldo also coming in after missing the Dreamtime at the ‘G victory over Essendon last Saturday night because of a one-week suspension, and speedy, small forward Dan Butler being recalled for his first senior appearance since Round 3 following a string of impressive performances at VFL level.

They replace Daniel Rioli, Connor Menadue and Callum Coleman-Jones, who have all been omitted.

Richmond’s four emergencies for the Round 11 match are Rioli, Menadue, Coleman-Jones and Jack Graham.
