VFL and VFLW Tigers set for double header

The whisper challenge Daniel Coffield and Brenton Credlin from the VFL team up with Shayla Marsh and Evelyn Burry from the VFLW to participate in the whisper challenge ahead of both team's match against Geelong.

Tiger fans can enjoy a day of footy at the Swinburne Centre on Saturday, when the Richmond VFL and VFLW sides face Geelong in a double header.

The VFL side will kick off first at 11.00am against the Cats, as they look to bounce back from their first loss of the season last week to North Melbourne.

The ladder-leading Tigers will aim to secure a second win this year against the Cats, after defeating them by 14 points in Round 1.

This time around, they’ll gain the services of premiership-winning defender Nathan Broad, for his first VFL game since Round 1, 2018.

Half-back flanker Oleg Markov and rookie-listed forward Jake Aarts will come back into the side after missing last week’s VFL game through illness and general soreness, respectively.

They’ll be joined by small forward Shai Bolton who has dropped back to the VFL following five consecutive games at senior level.

Out of the side is Patrick Naish, who will make his AFL debut against Geelong at the MCG on Friday night.

Premiership trio Jacob Townsend, Daniel Rioli and Jack Graham have also been recalled for senior duty.

The undefeated VFLW Tigers, who currently sit at 3-0, will look to continue their winning streak when they come up against the Cats at 2.30pm.

The VFLW Tigers will be without Lauren Tesoriero, while Grace Egan and Hannah McLaren have been added to the side.

Unfortunately due to technical difficulties the planned live stream of both games is unable to go ahead, however the Richmond VFL and Richmond Women's Twitter and Instagram accounts will provide live updates from the Swinburne Centre.
