Richmond captain Trent Cotchin is making solid progress after returning from a long stint on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Cotchin, who missed seven games, had 23 disposals in his comeback match against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium in Round 11.

He followed that up with 22 disposals, including 15 contested possessions, seven inside-50s, six clearances, plus five tackles, in the Tigers’ loss to Geelong at the MCG last Friday night.

The star midfielder told Channel Seven in a post-game interview that his body was “not too bad”.

“Obviously it takes a couple (of games) to get back into the swing of things,” Cotchin said.

“It’s a bloody tough game, AFL footy.

“Hopefully I’ll be better for the two runs next week and then get a little break and take it into the back-end of the season.”
