Liam Fawcett

Minimum disposals, maximum efficiency...that is the story of talented, young Richmond key forward Liam Fawcett so far in season 2026.

Fawcett has scored eight goals from four games at senior level for the Tigers this season, with those goals coming from only 15 kicks.

The 21-year-old was at his efficient best in last Sunday’s encounter with Euro-Yroke at Marvel Stadium.

He booted three goals from the three disposals he had for the match, two of them from set shots after taking strong marks.

Richmond coach Adem Yze praised Fawcett for his strong response after a slow start against the Saints.

"He hadn’t touched the ball for half a game, but (late) in the second quarter he responded in the right way," Yze said during his post-match press conference.

"He got up the ground and played a different role and then gets a reward on the scoreboard with those adjustments."

Among AFL rising stars, Fawcett is currently ranked No. 1 in goals per game and No. 1 for marks inside 50 per game.
