Mykelti Lefau and Noah Roberts-Thomson

Mykelti Lefau’s value to the Richmond team should not be understated.

Although his statistical numbers aren’t huge, he is an important member of the line-up due to the grunt he provides, as well as the ability to hit the scoreboard in his forward role.

Lefau, who turns 28 next month, has kicked 10 goals in the nine games he’s played so far this season.

Overall, he has 24 goals from 20 senior appearances with the Tigers, which is a handy return.

In Friday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G clash with Essendon, Lefau had 10 disposals, five tackles, took four marks and soccered through a clever goal.

Again, they weren’t big numbers, but that is not an issue because of the way Lefau plays the game.

The plethora of young Richmond players undoubtedly walk taller with the strongly-built Lefau alongside them, doing what he does.
