Luke Trainor

Richmond youngster Luke Trainor has been nominated for the Round 20 AFL Mark of the Week after his courageous grab over two Dogs forwards.

Late in the first quarter, Bulldogs player Josh Dolan sent a high-arching ball into Richmond’s defensive 50, where Trainor crashed in from behind the pack, leaping over both Matthew Kennedy and Aaron Naughton to win the two-versus-one contest, taking a miraculous grab.

Trainor’s heroic mark came at a pivotal point of the quarter, stopping the Bulldogs from getting a shot on goal late in the term.

It was one of Trainor’s eight marks for the night, bringing the Tiger Army to its feet in excitement.
