Retiring Richmond great Nathan Broad has claimed his fourth consecutive Francis Bourke Award at Tuesday night’s Jack Dyer Medal.

The award is named after Richmond Immortal Francis Bourke, the ultimate Richmond man who won five premierships in the yellow and black.

Each year, the playing group vote for the teammate they believe best embodies the leadership and commitment to the Club.

On a weekly basis, the players voted via a 3-2-1 system for the Award, with Broad leading the way yet again.

Broad, for the fourth consecutive year, was named the winner of the prestigious award, upholding the Richmond standards and acting as a role model for the next generation of Tigers.

The 33-year-old, who announced his retirement and played his final game in Round 23 against St Kilda at the MCG, was a true leader throughout the 2026 campaign.

The triple-premiership defender hangs up the boots after 191 games, following his selection with pick 67 as a mature-aged recruit in the 2015 National Draft.
