Richmond will play Greater Western Sydney in Saturday's AFL Grand Final at the MCG, after GWS outlasted a surging Collingwood by four points in their preliminary final clash.

GWS kept the Magpies goalless and managed to boot five goals in the third quarter of their twilight clash to set up the win.

Despite GWS leading by 32 points early in the fourth term, the Magpies came charging out of the blocks with four unanswered goals to make it an extremely nervous finish, before the visitors prevailed 8.8 (56) to 7.10 (52).

The Tigers won through to the Grand Final after defeating Geelong by 19 points at the MCG on Friday night.

Tom Lynch was the star with five goals from 19 disposals and 10 marks, while Bachar Houli (32 disposals, 11 marks) was also a classy contributor, and Dion Prestia (28 disposals, two goals) the man to spark things from the centre.
