Noah Balta joined a select group of players in Tigerland history at the MCG last Thursday night.

When the talented, tall, teenage debutant steered through a set-shot six-pointer, after receiving a 50-metre penalty in the opening quarter of the Round 1 match against Carlton, he became just the 16th Richmond player to score a goal with his first kick in AFL/VFL football.

Four of those players are current-day Tigers – Balta, Jack Higgins, Jayden Short and captain Trent Cotchin.

The past 12 times this goalkicking feat has been achieved by Richmond players, it’s happened at the MCG.
