Richmond expects new recruit, Tom Lynch to progress to running in 7-10 days following a minor medical procedure yesterday, as part of the rehabilitation of his injured knee.

Lynch had a routine visit with his surgeon yesterday, and underwent the minor procedure to improve the range of motion in his knee, and remove some scarring.

Richmond General Manager – Football, Neil Balme said the procedure will accelerate his rehab.

“There was no issue with Tom’s injury, however we were given an option to progress his rehab, which will allow him to start running slightly sooner than expected,” Balme said.

“We expect Tom will be running in the next week to ten days, and he will ramp up his training loads again after the Christmas break.”

Lynch, who crossed over to Tigerland in the 2018 Free Agency period, had knee surgery in July to repair his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL).
