Dustin Martin was Richmond’s sole vote-getter for Round 2 in the AFL Coaches’ Association’s 2018 Player of the Year award.

Martin polled seven votes following his top-class display in last Thursday night’s loss to Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

The dynamic Tigers midfielder finished with a team-high 25 disposals, 14 contested possessions, a team-high seven clearances, five inside-50s, equal team-high nine score involvements, five goals, seven tackles and a team-high 576 metres gained.

After winning the prestigious AFLCA Player of the Year award in 2017, Martin has 14 votes from two games this season and is in fifth place behind leader, Hawthorn ‘ball-magnet’ midfielder Tom Mitchell.
