Richmond has informed Steven Morris, Todd Elton and Taylor Hunt they will not be offered contracts beyond 2017.

Morris arrived at Tigerland in 2011 and has played 87 senior matches for the yellow and black.

The 28-year-old played an integral role for the VFL Tigers this year and has committed to Craig McRae’s side for 2018.

Elton, 24, was recruited to Richmond in the 2011 AFL National Draft and went on to play 11 senior matches.

Hunt has played 105 career AFL matches – joining the Tigers at the end of 2014 after six-years at Geelong.

Richmond general manager – football talent, Dan Richardson, thanked Morris, Elton and Hunt.

“On behalf of everyone at Richmond, I would like to thank Todd and Taylor for their contribution to the Club,” Richardson said.

“We are delighted Steve will return for the VFL Tigers in 2018 and also thank him for his service as an AFL player.

“We wish them and their families all the very best for the future.”

Veteran Tiger Ivan Maric called time on his career earlier this season, but will remain at the Club in a player development position and as ruck coach.

In other list news, Richmond rookies Jason Castagna and Ivan Soldo have been elevated to the Club’s primary list.

Mabior Chol, Callum Moore and Tyson Stengle have been retained on the rookie list.

“We saw plenty of excitement from our rookie-listed players this year and we look forward to watching them further improve in 2018,” Richardson said.
