Richmond has today informed assistant coaches, Greg Mellor, Ross Smith and senior development coach, Mark ‘Choco’ Williams they will not be offered new contracts in 2017.

Mellor arrived at Richmond at the end of 2011 and was initially responsible for the development of the Tigers’ first and second-year players, he spent time as the backline coach and for the last two seasons has been the forwards coach. 

Smith joined Richmond in September 2011, during which time he has had roles as both the backline coach and defensive coordinator.

Mark ‘Choco’ Williams has held the role of senior development coach at Richmond after joining the Club in September 2012. 

Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson thanked the coaches for their service to the Club.

“We thank all of these coaches for their commitment to the Club, its players and our football program, and we wish all of them and their families the very best for their future endeavours,” Richardson said.
