Richmond mature-age recruit Kane Lambert is rapidly adjusting to the tempo at the game’s highest level.

The tenacious 23-year-old, in his debut season of AFL football, has averaged nearly 20 disposals and just over 10 contested possessions in his past three games.

“Obviously it’s nice to start to contribute a little bit . . . spend a bit more time through the midfield and up forward,” Lambert, who has made seven senior appearances all-up with the Tigers, said on ‘Roar Vision’.

“The more games I play, the more adapted I become to the pace of AFL footy.

“I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.

“Every game I play I feel I belong, but the more confidence I get, the more I can contribute to the team.

“Each week’s a new game and every game’s extremely tough . . . I’m looking forward to the challenge against Adelaide (at Adelaide Oval tonight).”
