Number 13 may be considered unlucky by some people, but clearly Richmond’s rising star Jack Higgins is not one of them.
The talented, lively small forward/midfielder, who won the 2018 Tigers’ Cosgrove-Jenkins award, as the Club’s best first-year player, has been granted his request of moving from the No. 28 guernsey to No. 13 for the 2019 season.

His change was to honour the father of one of his mates – who wore 13 in his football career – and has acted as a mentor.
Richmond’s first pick in the 2018 AFL national draft, exciting tall midfield prospect Riley Collier-Dawkins, will wear the No. 26 guernsey during his debut season with the Tigers, with second selection Jack Ross being handed the No. 27, third pick Fraser Turner No. 28 and Luke English No. 32.
Former St Kilda midfielder Mav Weller, picked up by Richmond via the AFL’s new pre-season Supplemental Selection Period (SSP), takes the No. 16 Yellow and Black guernsey, while the Club’s rookie selection Jake Aarts has been given No. 39.
