A photograph captured by Richmond VFL/VFLW photographer Cameron Grimes featuring Tiger Sabrina Frederick has topped its category at last Friday's 2019 AFL Victoria Media Awards.

‘Hear her roar’ took out the award of Best Photograph – Character of the Game for a frame of the star forward celebrating a goal in the VFLW Tigers' Round 10 match against Melbourne Uni.

The winning snap marked the fourth consecutive year that Grimes has been recognised in the annual awards.

Grimes had four additional Richmond VFL/VFLW shots shortlisted for 2019 awards. His photos ‘Lighting the fire’ and ‘Welcome to Tigerland’ were also put forward for the Best Photograph – Character of the Game section, while he received two nominations in the category of Best Photograph - Action for his pictures ‘Spoiler alert’ and 'The big men clash’.

Richmond VFL reporter Brenton Mann was nominated for the award of Best Print/Online Coverage for his body of work covering the VFL Tigers' premiership-winning season through the Richmond VFL Report and on the 'Talking Tigers' podcast.
