It will be a big week on the training track for several injured Richmond players, who will push their case for selection for this Saturday’s Round 13 match against Fremantle.

Dylan Grimes (toe), Daniel Jackson (hip flexor) and Reece Conca (groin), who all missed last Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne, will make their bids for selection against the Dockers.

The trio will need to get through Thursday’s main training session at the ME Bank Centre to be available for selection, with the Tigers’ 22-man team announced at 6.25pm that evening.

This weekend could mark the possible return for veteran Chris Newman, who has missed the last four games, since injuring his calf in Round 7 against Geelong.

Fremantle will be without key defenders Michael Johnson and Luke McPharlin this weekend, with the pair nursing knee injuries.

Livewire Richmond small forward Jake King is about a month away from resuming, as he continues his recovery from a foot injury.

Friday’s light training run at the ME Bank Centre on Friday will be open to the fans, from 10am.
