Richmond AFLW captain Katie Brennan is expected to miss the remainder of the 2020 AFLW season as she continues to suffer symptoms of concussion.

The 27-year-old has not played since the Tigers’ Round 4 clash with Geelong at QEO Oval in Bendigo on February 29.

"Given the known risks of playing sports with concussion, Club medical staff are maintaining a best practice approach to recovery that prioritises Katie’s health and wellbeing," Richmond AFLW Club Doctor, Carlee van Dyk said.

Brennan played the opening four matches for Richmond this year averaging 12 disposals and four tackles.

The 174cm midfielder/forward will not play against Brisbane on Friday night at Ikon Park, and is almost certain to also miss the Club’s final round clash with Adelaide in Adelaide.
