Dual Richmond premiership ruckman Toby Nankervis was the Tigers’ leading Round 4 vote-getter in the 2020 AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player Award.

Nankervis received five votes for his strong showing in the 26-point loss to St Kilda at Marvel Stadium last Saturday.

Playing his first senior game since the season’s resumption, Nankervis had 17 disposals, five clearances, five intercepts, five score involvements, four marks, a team-high seven tackles, 26 hit-outs and kicked a goal.

Inspirational Richmond captain Trent Cotchin was the other Tiger to appear in the coaches’ votes for the Round 4 clash with the Saints.

Cotchin picked up one vote after finishing the match with 23 disposals, six inside-50s, six score involvements, four marks, four intercepts and 287 metres gained.
