Experienced Richmond defender Kelvin Moore will take another significant step on the comeback trail when he lines up with Coburg’s senior side this weekend.
Moore, who was sidelined for about a year and a half with a debilitating hip injury, has been selected in the Coburg team that will play Collingwood’s VFL side at Coburg City Oval on Sunday.
The 28-year-old has pulled up well after playing the past two games for Coburg’s development team and will now progress to the next level in the VFL seniors.
Talented, young defender Dylan Grimes also may get some game time with Coburg’s senior line-up on Sunday, in preparation for his return to the Richmond side after the bye.
Grimes, who has been out of action since injuring his left hamstring in the Round 8 Dreamtime clash, has been named on an extended interchange bench.
The Coburg-Collingwood match will kick off at 2pm, with the development team playing Box Hill in the curtain-raiser at 11am.
