The Greater Western Sydney defenders must hate the sight of star Richmond key forward Jack Riewoldt.

Five years after destroying the Giants with an outstanding, AFL career-high, 11-goal blitz in Round 10 of the 2014 season at Giants Stadium – 11.2 (68) to their combined total of 5.11 (41) – Riewoldt put them to the sword again in last Saturday’s 2019 Grand Final at the MCG.

Riewoldt again beat GWS off his own boot, kicking five goals – 5.1 (31) – to its final score of 3.7 (25).

You have to go all the way back to 1988 for the previous time a player scored more goals than the entire opposition in an AFL Grand Final.

On that occasion, Jason Dunstall booted seven goals for Hawthorn – 7.2 (44) – against Melbourne, who managed only 6.20 (56).

Dustin Martin also scored more goals for Richmond than what the Giants managed in the 2019 premiership-decider – four (4.0) to three.
