The evergreen running half-back is coming off a career-best All-Australian season at the age of 31. Houli averaged a team-high 28 disposals over 22 games, missing three at the start of the season with a hamstring complaint. He also led the team in rebound 50s and metres gained. Solidified his reputation as a big-game player with an outstanding finals series, finishing second in the Norm Smith Medal count for a second time. As is the norm considering his age and history of soft-tissue injuries, Houli signed yet another one-year contract in September.
