At 176cm, McKenzie is a powerful athlete that can play as a forward or midfielder. She has explosive speed, is an excellent stoppage player, and has a long, penetrating left-foot kick.
The 23-year-old burst onto the AFLW scene to finish second only to Mon Conti in her debut best and fairest and has continually been regarded as one of the competition’s brightest talents.
Injury kept McKenzie to just one game in 2023 - a match she received coaches votes in against Brisbane. But McKenzie has put that behind her in recent years with back-to-back podium finishes in the Tigers’ best and fairest.
The prodigious talent averaged a career-high 22.4 disposals and four clearances last season and looks to set to improve again under Jarrad Donders this year.
Her standing in the game was recognised by selection for the Australia team to face Ireland in Sydney this year.
