ALANNAH & MADELINE FOUNDATION

Richmond’s Round 14 match will be the Club’s annual dedicated fixture to the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.

This year’s annual dedicated fixture will see the Club focus on the Foundation’s Buddy Bags program, which delivers a backpack full of comfort to children arriving at refuges, moving into foster care, or in crisis.

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is the leading national not-for-profit organisation working to protect children from the effects of violence and bullying.

With a return to the MCG and a marquee clash against traditional rivals Carlton, the Club and Foundation aim to raise $65,000 from the match to help keep children safe from violence.

All match donations, Alannah & Madeline Foundation memberships and merchandise will all play a role in fundraising for the game.

Security

In 2022, the process for entry into the MCG will take longer than usual. To ensure you are inside the MCG in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.

Download your seat ticket prior to your arrival at the MCG. To gain entry into the match, please show staff your proof of check-in and vaccination status before scanning your digital ticket at the turnstiles.

WHAT'S ON?

This week, the Club and the Alannah & Madeline Foundation aim to raise $65,000 from the match to help keep children safe from violence.

Almost 3240 Buddy Bags have already been distributed across the country this year, with an aim to distribute 10,000 by the year's end.

The Club's pursuit of raising $65,000 from Thursday night's match would help an extra 1300 children receive a Buddy Bag. It is adding to the more than 100,000 distributed by the Foundation since 2007.

MCG Multi-Faith Prayer Room

Located on Level B1 of the Shane Warne Stand (at approximately M13), the room is able to cater for more than 50 patrons at one time, and is suitable for patrons of all faiths including Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu. The room is accessible for all patrons from across the stadium, regardless of where they are seated.
