Richmond AFLW key forward Jemima Woods will make her club debut on Saturday when the Tigers host Brisbane in Round 5.

The former Western Bulldogs player, 19, arrived at Tigerland with two AFLW games to her name after being signed by Richmond as a delisted free agent ahead of season seven.

A promising young talent, Woods' key traits are her athleticism, competitiveness and contested marking.

Her grandfather Mike Woods played 72 VFL games for Melbourne from 1949-1953, alongside Richmond AFLW player Harriet Cordner’s grandfather Don Cordner.

Woods' inclusion is one of three changes for the clash, the Tigers having also selected Kodi Jacques for her first game of the season and Sophie Molan for her second.

The three additions replace captain Katie Brennan, who is being rested, vice-captain Sarah Hosking, due to a hamstring complaint, and Emelia Yassir, who has been omitted.

Yassir has been named as an emergency, alongside Stella Reid and Amelia Peck.

Midfielder Kate Dempsey will play her 25th AFLW game on Saturday.

The Round 5 clash kicks off at 11.10am and will be broadcast live on 7mate, Fox Footy, Kayo Sports and on the AFL Women's app.
