Richmond duo Dustin Martin and Jacob Hopper will both miss the Tigers' clash with Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night.

Martin will be unavailable due to general soreness, while Hopper suffered a knee complaint in last Saturday's match against Adelaide.

Both are expected to be available for Round 4 against the Western Bulldogs.

As announced on Monday afternoon, Jayden Short has also been ruled out of Round 3 due to a calf issue.

Richmond will also be without Nathan Broad, who received a four-match suspension from the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

"(Dustin) didn't quite make it with the short week, but hopefully he'll be around the mark next week," co-captain Toby Nankervis said when speaking to the media at the MCG on Wednesday afternoon.

"(Jacob) was very close as well but he won't come up either, just the short week hasn't helped him, but he'll be around the mark next week also."
