Richmond VFL has made six changes to its line-up for Thursday afternoon's curtain-raiser clash with Sydney at the Swinburne Centre.

AFL-listed players Samson Ryan, Noah Cumberland, Judson Clarke, Hugo Ralphsmith and Jack Ross all return to the side that defeated Brisbane by one point last Thursday. 

VFL-listed Tiger Garrett McDonagh will make his return after injuring his knee in the Tigers' Round 8 draw with Geelong.

Out of the line-up are Sam Banks, Jacob Bauer and Maurice Rioli, who have been named in Thursday night's AFL side, and VFL-listed trio Austin Johnson (managed), Will Bravo (omitted) and Brad Melville (managed).

Johnson, Bravo and Melville have been named as emergencies, alongside Mohammed Yassine and Misilifi Faimalo. 

The VFL Tigers are currently in eighth position on the ladder following four wins from their past five clashes, while Sydney will be looking to return to the winners' list after three straight losses.

Richmond members get free entry to Tigerland when you show your membership card at the gate on Thursday, while tickets can also be purchased on the gate (EFTPOS only).
