Richmond small forward Shane Edwards has had minor surgery on a fracture in his hand, after injuring it in Thursday night's win over Carlton.
Edwards suffered the fracture to the fourth metacarpal in his right hand late in the game.
Edwards will be unavailable for selection for Richmond's Round 2 clash against Collingwood next Friday night.
The Club will assess his injury status for the following week.
