Richmond's pre-season camp is well and truly underway!

Day one begun at Punt Road Oval at 10.30am as mini buses full of Tigers departed Punt Road Oval and headed towards the Bass Coast Shire to their destination of Inverloch.

A quick stop at a country bakery for a pie, a must for any road-trip, and the team had arrived at Inverloch-Kongwak FC Oval for their opening session of the camp.

Each line group was tasked with bringing a mascot to camp which they felt represented them. The backs chose a mascot head of much-loved ruck coach Ivan Maric.

Various drills and games out on the track brought out the inner-competitiveness in everyone, particularly Jayden Short.

The team loved to see Inverloch Richmond fans who had come down to say hello, as well as former Tigers player and Inverloch local Allister Scott.

We look forward to seeing more of the Tiger Army at Wednesday's main training session at Wonthaggi Football Club.

Once training had wrapped up, it was time for a session at local gym TomFIT. With 100 days remaining until Richmond's Round 1 clash with Carlton, the theme for the session was '100s', and exercises were done in repetitions of one hundred.

Next, the group checked into their home base for the next three nights, RACV Inverloch Resort. They were welcomed to Boonwurrung Country by Traditional Owner Steven Ulula Parker from Millowl Dreaming.

Millowl Dreaming connects people with the traditional knowledge and Culture of the Boonwurrung people of Millowl (Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia) through the art, education and experiences offered by Parker.

As the sun set on the water, the team refuelled at dinner and enjoyed a fun-filled trivia night, testing their knowledge of Australian sport, music and general knowledge.

Unsurprisingly, trivia was won by the backs, with new assistant coach Jack Ziebell joking that the forwards, who came in last, were more suited to the instinctive games.

Time for a big sleep, the hard work continues on Wednesday!
