Richmond VFL’s line-up is confirmed to take on Essendon for their Dreamtime at the ‘G double header on Saturday afternoon.

The VFL Tigers will face Essendon at the MCG ahead of Saturday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G blockbuster.

The VFL Tigers will proudly don Richmond’s 2024 Dreamtime jersey, designed by Maurice Rioli Jr.

Off the back of a 110-point loss to Sandringham, the Tigers will look to respond against their arch-rival.

As part of six changes to the Tigers’ lineup for Saturday afternoon, Harry Scott and Ry Cantwell will make their debuts.

Their inclusions mean that 28 out of the 31-man VFL squad have featured for the side this season.

Scott, 19, is a big-bodied inside midfielder from the Gippsland Power who possesses great composure and is an excellent distributor by hand.

He is the son of former Tiger Allister Scott, who played 19 games for the club between 1990 to 1993.

Cantwell, 18, is an athletic winger and half-forward who is currently mixing his time with Richmond VFL and the Eastern Ranges in the Coates Talent League.

The rangy footballer possesses an explosive leap, a strong contested mark and an ability to hit the scoreboard.

Cantwell has also featured for the Young Guns side in the Under-18 Victorian Talent Pathway Program.

The side will also gain four AFL-listed Tigers, including Matthew Coulthard, Sam Banks, Tylar Young and James Trezise.

Banks and Trezise return to action from injury, while Coulthard and Young are AFL omissions.

Out of the side are Samson Ryan (AFL recall), Sam Naismith (injured), Austin Johnson (concussion protocols), Matthew Clarkson (omitted), Luke Haddara (omitted) and Sam Frangalas (omitted).

The first bounce is set for 2:35pm at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Fans must use their AFL ticket to gain access to this match.

The match will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
