Coming off a dominant win against the Eagles to make it two on the trot, star Tiger Sam Banks has reflected on the progress Richmond has made this season.

The Tigers' two-game winning streak is their first since the 2023 campaign, while the 49-point margin of victory was the Club's highest since Round 23, 2022, and their total score of 16.9 (105) was the most Richmond has recorded since Round 12, 2023.

With an exciting mix of youthful exuberance and veteran leadership, Banks explained how the Club is building strongly on its journey under coach Adem Yze.

“It’s been awesome,” Banks told the Channel 7's Sunday Footy Feast.

“It’s been a lot different to my first three years, losing a fair bit of experience, but all the young boys who have come into the Club have really embraced what we are about.

“It’s nice to get a few wins on the board, obviously a few people didn’t think we would win one, so it’s nice, and I think we are building really well.”

The 22-year-old had high praise for Yze, and his ability to prepare the playing group each week.

“He is great,” Banks said.

“Ever since he got to the Club, the connection he has built with every single player has been second to none.

“He has come back this year and has put clear plans in place for where we want to be and how we want to play.

“He has been awesome this year and has given me full confidence going into every game.

“He gives us full confidence going in every week and backs us in. He has been unreal.”

Banks is enjoying a strong patch of form, collecting at least 20 disposals in nine of his last 10 matches, while averaging an above average 20.9 disposals, 16.8 effective disposals, 13.2 kicks, 7.7 handballs and 406.5 metres gained this season.
