Richmond's VFL team will face Carlton in a practice match on Thursday, in the final dress rehearsal before the home-and-away season begins.

Bounce time between the Tigers and Blues is 1pm at IKON Park, just hours before the AFL sides meet in the blockbuster Round 1 clash at the MCG.

The Richmond v Carlton VFL practice match will be live streamed in the player below from 1pm on Thursday.

The Tigers have named a strong team for the clash, including captain Lachlan Street, leadership group members Mutaz El Nour, Liam George and Harry Scott, and AFL-listed players Luke Trainor, Zane Peucker, Noah Roberts-Thomson, Jasper Alger, Tom Brown, Patrick Retschko, Mykelti Lefau, Liam Fawcett, Tom Burton, Oliver Hayes-Brown and Kaleb Smith.

Richmond will face Southport on Saturday, March 21, in Round 1 of the VFL season.
