From the electric roles that both debutants will play on Friday night, to exciting team changes, Richmond coach Adem Yze spoke to the media ahead of the Anzac Day Eve clash against Melbourne at the MCG.
On debutant Tom Burton's role against the Demons...
"Tommy, he's earned the right to play.
"He's been knocking on the door for the last few weeks. High endurance, high speed. Off a five-day break, it's obviously going to be an intense running game.
"[He'll play as a] pressure forward, high forward. Whoever he plays on is going to go on a tour of the MCG, because he can run. He will get down and help our defence, and obviously try and hit the scoreboard.
"We know the way Melbourne want to play and that they've got those type of players in their team. It's going to be exciting."
On Sam Cumming's debut...
"He's a highly talented, early draft pick, a real competitor. He's done everything we asked of him for the month he had out. He strengthened up his shoulder, went back and played half a game [in the VFL], played a full game last week. He deserves his opportunity.
"We're not going to gift games to our younger players. They need to earn the right to play for our footy Club, and he has. We can't wait to see him out there."
On Tom Lynch's return...
"He's ready to play. He'll get his normal rotation as he was in the first part of the year.
"He's ready to go. He was almost ready last week, the decision around being really cautious with him, he would have been coming off a five-day break, if we played him last week.
"We took that extra week to get another week of training into him. We've got a really young forward line at the moment, so to have him down there is really important for the leadership, but also his contest.
"The form he was in before he hurt himself was really strong."
On Round 7 team selection...
"We get Tom Lynch coming back in, Jacob Hopper that we rested and managed last week. We have some leaders coming back in.
"Tom Brown, who is in our performance group, he comes back into our side and the two younger lads [debutants].
"We've also got some boys that are in there that can help with our running profile right now. Pat Retschko can run, Hugo Ralphsmith, too. Having those boys in the side is important.
"We've brought in boys who have played before and add in some experience. That's handy, getting some exposure to some young players while we're going through what we are going through. Then in the second half of the year, when we get majority of our boys back out on the track, it's going to be exciting.
"We'll make no excuses for the boys we send out there. We've got 23 fit players and we need to play a certain way, because this is a big game for our footy Club."
On the test of Melbourne...
"They've started the season really well. It's no secret that they're highly talented and have some younger lads playing certain roles that are helping.
"It's a big test for us, on a big stage, against a team that is in form. Our boys are really looking forward to that. We've got nothing to lose.
"It's an amazing game. We are really privileged to be playing in it. It's a huge occasion. We've got to do it justice."
