Jasper Alger

Following consultation with the Club’s medical staff, Richmond can provide the below injury update for Round 21.

Given we have a VFL bye this weekend, if there are any players returning from injury not selected in the AFL squad of 26 on Thursday night, we will take the opportunity to manage them in Friday’s main training session.

This Injury Report is brought to you by nib. With nib, life could be potentially amazing.

Ben Miller: Heel, Test
Jasper Alger: Ankle, Test
Steely Green: Concussion, Test
Tom Burton: Groin, Test

Ben Miller (heel pain) and Steely Green (concussion) are expected to be available this weekend, provided they get through training on Friday.

Jasper Alger (ankle) and Tom Burton (groin) will also train on Friday and, if they get through, will be available for selection.

Campbell Gray: Hamstring, Round 22

Campbell Gray is tracking well in his recovery.

He will have another week of training before aiming to be available for selection next week.

Harry Armstrong: Foot Soreness, Round 22

Harry Armstrong’s foot is improving but, given the VFL bye, will have another week until preparing to play.

Harry Armstrong

Noah Balta: Toe, TBC

Noah Balta’s toe injury remains too sore to return to play. We will continue to monitor him and will have a clearer timeline over the coming weeks.

Tom Sims: Toe, Season

Tom Sims is still in a moonboot as he manages his sesamoid injury.

We have unfortunately reached the point now, where pushing Tom to play in the final two VFL games after the bye would not be worth the risk.

We will now formalise plans to best prepare him for the pre-season.

Jacob Hopper: Ankle, Season

Jacob Hopper successfully underwent surgery today to stabilise his ankle with no complications reported by the surgeon.
