Richmond VFL defender Mutaz El Nour will finish his time in the yellow and black, after 65 games and four seasons with the Tigers.
El Nour will move to VFL club Coburg to continue his career, which currently spans 83 games, following a stint at Preston before joining the Tigers at the start of the 2023 season.
The key defender, who won the 2025 Guinane Medal as the joint VFL Best and Fairest, starred again this season and stamped his authority on the league's best key forwards.
He played 18 games in 2026, leading from the front, helping develop young key back men throughout the season under coach Jack Madgen.
He averaged 16.3 disposals, 8.4 intercepts and 6.7 marks in 2026, making the VFL Team of the Year squad.
El Nour was selected in the Smithy’s VFL State Team squad of 43 this season, following a strong start to his campaign, when he collected 16 and 17 disposals in Rounds 1 and 2 respectively.
Previously, in 2025, El Nour was selected on the bench in the VFL State Team of the Year.
He also served as the Richmond VFL vice-captain for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, alongside veteran Joel Garner.
Across his 65-game Richmond career, El Nour averaged 15.4 disposals and 7.2 marks.
