Richmond has named its side that will make history in the Club’s first ever AFLW match against Carlton at Ikon Park on Friday night.
Led by coach Tom Hunter, twenty-one Tigers will run out in the blockbuster season opener, as a new chapter for the Club begins.
A Richmond home game, the traditional rivals will face off from 7.45pm, with Ikon Park set to be painted Yellow and Black.
Richmond's experienced leadership quartet, Katie Brennan, Christina Bernardi, Phoebe Monahan and Lauren Tesorerio, all feature in the inaugural line-up.
Tiger veteran Tesorerio is no stranger to season openers, having played in the first ever AFLW match between Collingwood and Carlton in 2017.

Eleven Tigers will make their AFLW debut, including Richmond’s first ever draft selection Sophie Molan and fellow draftees Sarah Sansonetti and Laura McClelland.
It won’t be the first time the majority of players have taken to the field together, with seventeen of the 21 players having pulled on the Yellow and Black in the 2019 VFLW season.
Unavailable for the season opener are Iilish Ross (foot), Cleo Saxon-Jones (foot) and Kate Dempsey (back), all with medium-term injuries.
Midfielder Grace Campbell will also miss Round 1 with a short-term hip injury.
Emily Harley has been ruled out of the Tigers’ maiden season with a shoulder injury, with defender Hannah McLaren now upgraded to the train-on list.
Richmond’s two emergencies for the Blues clash are Ella Wood and Ciara Fitzgerald.
Ikon Park’s gates will open at 6.00pm, with the pre-game entertainment to commence at 6.15pm.
