Dustin Martin and his playing partner, Harvey Norman’s Nik Papa, were the big winners in Richmond’s inaugural corporate golf day yesterday.
The pair beat home a large field of 18 groups which tackled the Heritage Golf and Country Club in the Ambrose format.
A group including Jeep Australia’s Sam Tabart and John Bennetts from Bingle, who were paired with Trent Cotchin, finished in second place.
And new recruit Chris Knights showed his skill with club in hand, winning the nearest the pin competition.
Other Richmond players to try their hand on the course included Brett Deledio, Shaun Grigg, Shane Edwards, Brandon Ellis, Daniel Jackson, Matt White and Shane Tuck.
Former Tigers Matthew Richardson and Dale Weightman, current CEO Brendon Gale, and senior coach Damien Hardwick, also participated in the event.
In a nod to Richmond Football Club’s proud history, the restoration of brickwork from the former Jack Dyer Stand into the new Redevelopment has been a key priority.
