The improvement displayed throughout 2013 by seasoned Richmond pair, Daniel Jackson and Matthew White, was underlined in this year’s Brownlow Medal voting . . .

Jackson had managed just eight Brownlow votes in total throughout the first nine seasons of his AFL career.

In Monday night’s count, however, the 146-game veteran more than doubled his tally, polling a career-high nine votes.

The two votes White received for his superb performance in Richmond’s 41-point, Round 10 victory over West Coast at Patersons Stadium, were the first he’d ever polled in his 105-game, eight-season league career.

Richmond scored the sixth most total club votes in the 2013 Brownlow Medal – 81 – with 13 of its players polling.
