Mon Conti fires out a handpass in a best-on-ground performance last Friday night.

Star Richmond on-baller Monique Conti continued her stellar form on Friday night with a second consecutive best on-ground performance in the eyes of the coaches.

Conti led the charge in Richmond’s breakthrough 47-point win over Geelong, gathering a match-high 27 disposals, four marks, and four inside 50s.

The 21-year-old has now racked up 25 disposals or more in each of the past four rounds. It has been an emphatic response from the youngster who had a rare quiet game in Round 1.

Speaking to media post-game, senior coach Ryan Ferguson said Conti had been lifting the team "for weeks".

“She learned a lesson early in the season when she got some attention and just (understanding) how to deal with that and (how) to come back to the team,” he said.

"There are a couple of little focus areas for her that keep her sharp and the last three weeks she has been outstanding just leading the way, and it was no different tonight.”

Conti polled nine of a possible 10 votes from the opposing coaches, with Katie Brennan (seven votes), Sarah D’Arcy (five), Ellie McKenzie (five), and Courtney Wakefield (three) not far behind.

Brennan and Wakefield are two of the competition’s most in-form key forwards, slotting 10 goals between them across the past two weeks.

The skipper, Brennan has also been winning plenty of football with 17 disposals in each of the past three outings.

D'Arcy's 16 disposals and four marks also made for her best game in a Richmond Guernsey. The experienced AFLW campaigner is adjusting to a new role in defence, having spent the majority of her time at Collingwood playing as a marking forward.
