Get ready for Saturday night's 'Dreamtime in Perth' match as Richmond takes on Essendon at Optus Stadium.

The Round 12 match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 from 7.00pm and Fox Footy from 7.20pm with the first bounce set for 7.40pm (AEST). The game will also be streamed on Kayo.

TICKETING

The AFL is pleased to announce the Dreamtime match in Perth has sold out after going on sale to the General Public at 5.00pm AWST, Tuesday June 1.

Further tickets may become available as a result of unused allocations, and if so, a secondary release of tickets will occur on Friday, June 4 at 11.00am AWST.

Tickets will be strictly limited and subject to availability.

GETTING TO THE GAME & GATE OPENING TIMES

Gates open: 3.30pm AWST

COVIDsafe measures will vary by state and/or venue according to any requirements and directions issued by the Government of the State or Territory in which the Venue is located.  Further details on the COVID Safe arrangements can be accessed via the AFL Policies.

Train
Trains travel direct to Optus Stadium Station for passengers on the Joondalup, Fremantle and Armadale Lines. Passengers on the Midland Line can choose to walk over the Windan Bridge to East Perth Station.

Bus
The suburban event bus network, as well as Perth CBD shuttles stop at Optus Stadium Bus Station. For more information on bus or public transport routes, click here.

Taxi & Rideshare
The primary taxi rank is located off Victoria Park Drive. The taxi rank is adjacent to the Eastern Train Station accessible via the underpass.

Parking
There is no public parking available at Optus Stadium on event days.

What is a Djuripin?
Traditional and ceremonial dancing has been a part of indigenous culture for thousands of years, the Djerpin is a dance of celebration.

Before of the coin toss, Richmond and Essendon will partake in a cultural exchange of gifts.

Richmond's gift for Essendon is an Aboriginal artwork by Michelle Kerrin, the designer of our 2021 Dreamtime guernsey.
The Artwork is titled, ‘The March’ this piece shows different mobs coming together on Country to educate others about matters of importance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

POST-GAME

After the final siren there will be an on-field presentation of the Yiooken Award for Best on Ground performance.

Yiooken means 'dreaming' in the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri people, the traditional owners of Melbourne and surrounding lands.

This year the trophy returns to the traditional glass sculptured Boomerang, used in previous Dreamtime at the ‘G encounters.

WHAT ARE WE WEARING?

Richmond's 2021 Dreamtime jumper tells a story of connection and growth.

Designed by the Club’s Korin Gamadji Institute Program Lead, Michelle Kerrin (Arrernte/Luritja) in conjunction with Shane Edwards (Arrernte) and Jack Riewoldt, the jumper tells the players’ story since arriving at Richmond together in November 2006.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: 

Michelle Kerrin is a young Indigenous artist and proud Arrernte and Luritja woman. Michelle is currently employed full time by the Richmond Football Club as a Program Lead at the Korin Gamadji Institute.

Kerrin also design the Club’s inaugural AFLW Indigenous guernsey, worn in their historic first win at GMHBA. Her work can be viewed on Instagram @akweke_stories.
