Richmond defender Dylan Grimes has been offered a one-match sanction for striking Jaime Elliott during Thursday night’s loss to Collingwood at the MCG.

Grimes struck Elliott late in the fourth quarter as the Magpie disposed of the ball, with the contact judged to be intentional with low impact and high contact to the head by the AFL's Match Review Officer.

The 27-year-old can accept the sanction with an early plea, and if he does, he will miss next Saturday’s clash against GWS at Sydney Showground Stadium.

Fellow Tiger Shane Edwards has been offered a $2000 sanction for striking Collingwood's Adam Treloar in the second quarter. If he accepts the fine, he will be available to face GWS.

In other match review news, Collingwood’s Mason Cox has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Grimes, and can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
