Richmond VFL has made nine changes for Sunday's Wildcard Round against Collingwood at the Swinburne Centre.

The do-or-die clash between eighth-placed Collingwood and ninth-placed Richmond kicks off at Tigerland at 12.00pm, with the winner advancing to the finals series.

The match will be played at the Swinburne Centre due to the Pies' home venue not being available.

Coming into the side is Noah Cumberland, returning from concussion, and Marlion Pickett, who has been omitted at AFL level.

VFL-listed Tiger Garrett McDonagh is back from injury, while Tom Bracher, Billy Cooper, Joel Nathan, Lachlan Johnson, Will Bravo and Misilifi Faimalo have all been recalled for the crucial clash.

Coming out of the side who defeated North Melbourne by 12 points last weekend is Tyler Sonsie through suspension, Seth Campbell with injury and Cam Olden due to concussion.

Also out of the side is former VFL-listed Tiger and Richmond mid-season draftee James Trezise, who will make his AFL debut alongside Tom Brown, while Cubs Jacob Bauer and Sam Banks have also earned AFL recalls.

The highest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round will advance to the 2023 Smithy’s VFL Finals Series as the seventh-placed team and will take on Footscray Bulldogs in the second elimination final.

The lowest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round will progress to the first elimination final as the eighth-placed team and will play against Williamstown.
