After both the AFL and VFL sides' matches on the weekend, Serpell confirmed that the playing group came out relatively bruise-free, however, ruckman Mate Colina is set to be sidelined after he suffered a subluxed patella injury.

In positive news, Serpell told Richmond Media that first-round draft pick Taj Hotton is now 7-10 weeks away from making his return since his ACL injury in May last year.

Samson Ryan: Foot, 1-3 weeks

“Samson is still managing that plantar fascia issue, we just want to make sure we look after him for this next little while,” Serpell said.

“The big guys tend to take a little bit longer, I think we had him down for one to two weeks, but it is probably going to stretch out to one to three (weeks) in this point of time.”

Mykelti Lefau: ACL, 1-3 weeks

“Mykelti is doing very well, I’m happy to say that he will be back in one to three weeks,” Serpell said.

“So hopefully we get through some testing next week and see him on the field very soon.”

Mate Colina: Knee, 2-4 weeks

“As a whole, everyone got through ok (this weekend), but unfortunately, Mate Colina subluxed his patella a little bit, so we will see him out for a couple of weeks here," Serpell said.

“Outside of that, everyone pulled up alright.”

Tylar Young: ACL, 2-4 weeks

“Tylar probably sits a week behind Mykelti, so again he is performing really well in training and as a result I have been able to bring his return to play forward a little bit,” Serpell said.

Dion Prestia: Achilles, 3-5 weeks

“Dion is doing really well,” Serpell said.

“He is getting more and more involved in footy drills, and he is running sessions on the weekends for the rehab guys, so he is putting a good body of work in and hopefully we see him back in three to five weeks.”

Taj Hotton: ACL, 7-10 weeks

“We are happy to say that we can put weeks on Taj Hotton,” Serpell said.

“Back in seven to 10 weeks, which is exciting for him. I just spoke to him this morning, and he is very excited about that.”

Harry Armstrong: Hamstring, 8-11 weeks

“Harry has been doing really well at training,” Serpell said.

“He still has a bit of work to get through at the moment, but we will see him out there as much as possible for the next little while and hopefully we can build some athletic development through him.”

Josh Gibcus: ACL, TBC

“For Gibbo (Josh Gibcus), what we are going to do is still take a cautious approach,” Serpell said.

“We are still managing those two significant injuries year on year, and we will put him through some testing over the next couple of weeks.

“Hopefully, we can get back with a more accurate timeframe after that.”
