Talented Tiger trio Dion Prestia, Josh Caddy and Tom Lynch will play together in the same side for the first time since 2012, when Richmond takes on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval this Saturday.

Round 19 of the 2012 season was the last time that Prestia, Caddy and Lynch were teammates – representing Gold Coast against Melbourne at the MCG in a match the Suns lost by 42 points.

Prestia, playing his 31st AFL game that day, was 19 years, 298 days old, it was Caddy’s 20th game, and he was aged 19 years, 312 days, while for Lynch, 19 years and 279 days of age, it was game number 26.

Other Gold Coast players in that match included Gary Ablett, Campbell Brown, Harley Bennell, Charlie Dixon, Karmichael Hunt, Zac Smith and Mav Weller.

Earlier in the 2012 season, Prestia, Caddy and Lynch teamed up with ex-Saint Andrew McQualter, who is now a Richmond assistant coach.

That quartet played two games together all-up for the Suns – in Round 8 v Western Bulldogs at Darwin’s TIO Stadium and Round 9 v Port Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.

Prestia played 95 games overall with Gold Coast from 2011-16, Caddy 24 games, 2011-12, Lynch 131 games, 2011-18, and McQualter five games, 2012.
