Tom Brown

High Performance Manager Ben Serpell has provided Richmond's Round 10 Injury Report.

Serpell confirmed that young defender Sam Grlj will be available to return to action this weekend, after being managed in Round 9.

“He's been an outstanding performer for us in the first eight rounds,” Serpell said.

“Being a first-year player, we had an opportunity to rest him, so we took that, and we expect him out there this week and a bit fresher and hopefully ready to perform.”

Kaleb Smith: Groin, Test

“Kaleb's gone through a really nice rehabilitation block,” Serpell said.

“We are expecting him to get through training this week, and provided he pulls up ok, we'll expect him out there on the field this weekend.”

Tom Sims: Foot, Round 11

“Tom Sims is going really well. It’s his birthday today, and he got through full training last week,” Serpell said.

“We expect him to get through a full dose of training this week, and provided he gets through that, he’ll be back into playing next weekend for Dreamtime.”

Tom Brown: Forearm, Round 14 to 15

“We saw Browny come off the ground early in the game, around about the first five minutes of the game. He sustained a broken arm, sadly for Browny,” Serpell said.

"He underwent surgery today, and we'll expect to hear more from the surgeon over the coming days, but hopefully he's back into playing soon after the bye."

Toby Nankervis: Hamstring, Round 14 to 15

“Toby was training last week and was starting to progress into some drills,” Serpell said.

“He got through his full training session at the back end of the week, but pulled up sore from that.

“We want to slow down his rehab at this stage and probably delay his return to play, and we expect him to be available soon after the bye.”

Kane McAuliffe: Achilles, TBC

“Kane was quite sore in both Achilles, so we managed his game time at the back end of the game,” Serpell said.

“We want to try and let that settle for the next little while, so we'll probably manage him this week and see how he progresses over the next little while and have a bit more of a timeframe on him soon.”

Josh Smillie: Quad, TBC

“We've arranged for Josh Smillie to go over and spend a bit of time with world-renowned reconditioning specialist Bill Knowles,” Serpell said.

“He’s on a plane tomorrow, and he'll spend the next little while over there. We've organised a few other little opportunities for him as well, spending some time with the Philadelphia 76ers."
